Our first session will last up to 75 minutes. We will thoroughly review your current symptoms, lifestyle and environment, and relevant family history. We will go over your past psychiatric and medical health history, and review any medications and supplements you may be taking. Towards the end of the visit, we will discuss your diagnosis and an integrated plan for treatment. I will explain the pros and cons of different options, which may include a conversation about medications and their safety if relevant. This initial visit is very thorough because it forms the basis for your treatment plan. If this is a second opinion or one-time consultation, I will provide a written report to you or your treating clinician with recommendations for treatment.

After your initial visit, we will discuss the recommended frequency for follow up appointments. Generally, therapy is most effective with weekly sessions, and medication management sessions are typically once every 1-2 months. If needed and appropriate, virtual video visits are also offered.
